I am a Brazilian lawyer admitted to the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/MS), with law degrees from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul and from the University of Camerino, in Italy. I am currently completing a postgraduate specialisation.

Having studied both legal systems, I read each matter through the civil-law concepts familiar to European clients and resolve it through Brazilian procedure: notaries, registries, courts and the Central Bank. My practice is limited to Brazilian law.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to travel to Brazil?

In most cases, no. Documents can be signed at a Brazilian consulate, apostilled in your country or signed electronically, and I represent you in Brazil under a power of attorney. If an act requires your presence, you will know from the start.

Do I need a Brazilian tax number (CPF)?

For most property, banking and probate matters, yes. Foreign nationals can obtain a CPF through a Brazilian consulate, and I guide you through the process.

Can an inheritance in Brazil be settled if the heirs live abroad?

Yes. Heirs abroad take part through powers of attorney. When the heirs agree, the estate can often be settled before a notary, which is usually faster than going to court.

Which languages do you work in?

English, Italian and Portuguese. Documents filed in Brazil must be in Portuguese; where needed, sworn translations are arranged.

How are fees set?

After an initial assessment, in a written proposal that sets out the scope of work and the fees before anything begins.

Is my information confidential?

Yes. Professional secrecy is a statutory duty of every Brazilian lawyer, and personal data is processed under Brazil's data protection law (LGPD).
